IIP supports companies in verifying compliance with mandatory and/or voluntary requirements indicated in the product regulations applicable to plastic pipes, fittings and valves used for the transport of drinking water, gas and for the drainage of fluids, and to the related raw materials (PE100RC, PE, PP, PVC, etc.) .
The tests can be used for the release and subsequent maintenance of product certifications or for the verification of specific production batches .
Dedicated analyses can also be conducted to identify the causes of breakages and/or malfunctions found in specific applications.


IIP was established as a reference body for the conformity assessment of plastic pipes in the service sector. Over the years, its scope has been progressively expanded. field of intervention, extending technical skills to numerous application areas , including:

The IIP mechanical laboratory performs advanced tests on thermoplastic materials in compliance with the latest regulatory updates introduced by the UNI EN 12201:2024 and UNI EN 1555:2021 standards.


These also include new specific tests for PE 100-RC materials, such as:
a-NPT,
a-FNCT,
SHT
CRB,
aimed at evaluating resistance to slow crack propagation, long-term durability and suitability for use in severe operating conditions.
